Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and heavy cream. Stir until smooth.

Add the butter to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the mixture has thickened.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust.

Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the top of the filling.

Bake the pie for 45 to 50 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.

Let the pie cool before slicing and serving.
