Fried Peach Pies using Canned Biscuits

Fried Peach Pies using Canned Biscuits Copie 1

Instructions:

Drain the canned peaches and chop them into small pieces.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped peaches with 1/4 cup of the peach syrup and 1/2 tsp of pure almond extract.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each biscuit to a 5-inch diameter circle.

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the peach mixture onto one half of each biscuit circle, leaving a small border around the edge.

Fold the other half of each biscuit circle over the peach mixture and press the edges firmly to seal.

Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F.

Fry the pies in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the pies from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1/4 cup of milk until smooth to make a glaze.

Drizzle the glaze over the warm fried pies.

Serve and enjoy!
