
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Stir in the melted butter.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the cooled coffee. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack. Serve and enjoy!
